Well I doubt very many of you will be surprised with this post, after seeing Crow and Hippo both make their ToS threads... somewhere o-o... But yes.
So far, I have the pattern for the jacket and gloves, and have made all the necessary modifications to the jacket pattern and have all the fabric (I've even started adding interfacing to the pieces of the jacket. I feel so proud of myself ). Basically, I haven't done much. I'll be updating this thread with pictures/explanations as I get things done.
Anyways, there are a few things I'm snagged on that I would love to get some advice on. First, is his wig. I already know I'll have to do a lot of styling for it, so I've already looked up a lot of tutorials for spiking wigs and such, but I thought I'd ask around on here as well. Meaning if you have any tips or experience in styling wigs... ^^ Please share your knowledge with me~. The second thing... Is the suspenders. I've done some looking around, and it's probably just my fail, but I haven't been able to find any suspenders close to his that I could modify, or even how to make them. So... any advice?
I apologize in advance for any grammar/spelling errors, as well as the lack of a reference picture. I'm being forced to run out of the house now, and I don't have time to grab one. I'll add one and edit this post as soon as I get home, but for now if you don't know how he looks, you'll have to google him. Sorry!! DD:
EDIT BY CROW: *hijacks Toast's post* Because not having a reference picture always bugs me, here you go, guys:

I used got2b glued (can be bought at Walmart) on my wig... and IF I would have cut my wig right and used the glue correctly, I know it would have came out awesome.
And use really "thick" pieces when.. um.. "lumping" parts of the hair together for the spike, because if not, they might go flat and smaller than you would expect.
So that's probably all the help/advice I can offer with that. ^^; (I sounds reliable, right? xD)
In the Jo-Ann's around where I live, they actually have big strips of different colors (they are velour, I think) in the lace/ribbon section. So I think that maybe if you look around at different places like that, I'm sure you will find something.
For the suspender loopy things, get some metal wire from a place like Michael's.. they will have something similiar and you could just mold it into place. They have all sorts of neat things and they might even have something just like that.

--Thanks for adding a ref, Crow-sama xD;--
o~o I definitely think I'll look into getting the Got2b stuff. So many people recommend it that I think it's some of he most popular stuff! As for the suspenders... That's not a bad idea o.o I'd have to experiment with different types of fabric... But I do have 6 months to finish xD (Thankfully).
Hmm... I think I'll have to go look more stuff up online now... o~o *has gotten inspiration*

That's great, but don't you have to make everything in order for it to be in the masquerade? O.o

Obviously I don't know all the rules on things like that, but there has to be a reasonable limit to the parts of the costume one can make. I mean, after all, you don't have to make the buttons or the fabric! And if a character just wears sneakers, you don't have to make those. I assume no one makes wigs, either. It seems a little unreasonable to expect accessories like belts and suspenders to get made. I was in the Santa Barbara chapter of the SCA in college. Big buch of costume-n*zis, and yet they still let you sew everything on a machine.

Yeah, perhaps you're right, I just don't know. I'm just worried about getting disqualified. >_o
